P107 is a new R1b1c SNP at FTDNA that defines their hg R1b1c9b. It is not yet known how P107 compares with S26 at EthnoAncestry. I have created four scenarios to show how P107 and S26 might fit into a new ISOGG Y tree:

Scenario 1 - if P107 is in line with S29 & S26
R1b1c9 S21/U106
__R1b1c9a S29/U198
__R1b1c9b P107
__R1b1c9c S26

Scenario 2 - if P107 is upstream of S26
R1b1c9 S21/ U106
__R1b1c9a U198/S29
__R1b1c9b P107
____R1b1c9b1 S26

Scenario 3 - if P107 is downstream of S26
R1b1c9 S21/U106
__R1b1c9a U198/S29
__R1b1c9b S26
____R1b1c9b1 P107

Scenario 4 - if P107 is equivalent to S26
R1b1c9 S21/U106
__R1b1c9a U198/S29
__R1b1c9b P107/S26

If a person who is currently just S21+, and a person who is S26+ are both P107+ then Scenario 2 is the only possibility.

If a person who is currently just S21+ is P107+ and a person who is S26+ is P107- then Scenario 1 is the only possibility.

Other combinations have multiple possibilities and won't help nail down P107.

I am currently S21+ (R1b1c9*) at EA and I have ordered the new panel. Have any S26+ people ordered this new FTDNA panel yet?
