    no definite opinion

I was always curious about the origin of the Indo-European language - even way back when I was stationed in Berlin. The piece of parchment with the Tocharian writing (actually printing, as if done by a scribe) was in a museum in Dahlem, West Berlin, and within walking distance of the US Army Hospital where I was stationed. Also Nefertiti (spelling?) was displayed there. There were many anthropological objects stored in back rooms, not available for the public. But now that the Wall has come down, new museums specializing in various subjects have been built, and all the things in the Dahhlem Museum are now scattered in various newer museums. The Dahlem Museum was known more for its artwork (paintings) than anthropological exhibits.

It was the domestication of the horse that triggered expansions and clashes of nomadic cultures, I would think.
