  • Haplo tree being updated

I just learned from Bennett Greenspan that the Haplo Tree is being
"redesigned by the academic community" in his own words.

This will be very interesting to see what the academic community comes up with for a new updated Haplo Tree.

I can't imagine what it will look like.

Greenspan? I've seen that name a few times on this forum but I don't know who he is. Isn't he the guy that used to change interest rates?
Please post a link here for the new haplo tree after it's updated.
I know the Genographic Project has something like a haplo tree, or migration map, but the person from there is Spencer Wells.

          Greenspan

The guy who changed interest rates was Alan Greenspan, who recently retired as chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank.

            The Greenspan model

Just for fun, let's compare Greenspans!

Here is a page with a picture of Bennett Greenspan President and CEO

and now here is a page with a picture of Allan Greenspan

            It could get confusing.

They look like they could be a 36/37 match.

              I kid, I kid.

When and where will it be published?

The Greenspan men in the photos look like relatives.

They do look a lot alike.

And their surname fits their jobs/what they are known for.
A tree is green and has a 'span' (Haplo Tree)
Economy/money is also considered "green" and has a span (spread across the country).

I suspect he is simply referring to the usual additions of new subhaplogroups as new SNPs are found.

There may be some "blue sky" talk about how to do it "right," but I doubt that anything will come of that any time soon.

Probably not before the weekend of Oct 20, 2007.
