You can also learn a lot by joining the Genealogy-DNA Mailing List http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/othe...ALOGY-DNA.html
Some of it will be confusing at first but there are many knowledgable members who are always willing to help.

    1. What exactly does "Low Resolution" (HVR1) matches mean?

There is also HVR2 that would just about double the amount
of DNA tested - together they are sometimes called High Resolution

    2. All my Hapolgroup are "H"'s except one is a "HV"-what does that signafy?

This implies you had more than one person tested???
IF so HV is another group it happens to be before both H and V
[sort of the mother of both H and V but also has daughters that
    are neither H nor V]

    3. What does the numbers in the "Count" column represent? I have an "84" in the "Unknown Origin" column (why isn't origin known???)
That is the number of samples in the data base.
The know ledge of ancestry from MANY maternal lines in the USA
stops about 1800. In my case she was born in North Carolina
and I know her fathers name but nothing on her ancestry.
I sure cannot call her a Native Amercan - so it is Unknown.

    4. HVR1 Mutations number is 16519C-does that mean at that number on my chart that is where a mutation took place?
Yes and the C says what you are at that spot.

I sorry for all these questions, but I do want to get some type of understanding on all this.

    Thanks!
