  • Advise books to read

    I have looked the section:
    Scientific papers of interest.

But.. I have (remained) the question, or request.

Advise me, please, interesting and useful books about DNA (genetic) genealogy.
Because in Russia almost no books on it subject.
I want to order some books (1-2) in internet-shop, in english.
I want books were useful and interesting.

Advise me books, or simply tell what books DNA-genealogy subject you read?

    Thank you.

Most of the best information really is in research papers and on the Internet. The only book on this subject that I found worth reading, and buying, was Deep Ancestry: Inside the Genographic Project, by Spencer Wells.

FamilyTreeDNA has its own set of recommended reading here:

I don't know if the list is kept up.

In addition to all the books mentioned in earlier posts, I also liked Before the Dawn: Recovering the Lost History of our Ancestors, by Nicholas Wade.
