      European-Aboriginal (Western Australia) 8.1
      Aboriginal (Northern Territory, Australia) 7.6
      Basque (Basque Country, Spain) 7.1
      etc.

Australian Aborigine? That can't be right, I have pictures and family photos generations back on all sides from Europe; they resemble every subsequent generation down to myself respectively, no known ties with Australia in any form. (except for my father visiting there after I was born). Though, if you look at the example PDF for Australian Aborigines on the DNA tribes site; their matches are over 500.0. Mine are only 15.3 at most. I suppose I just have strange DNA that can't be classed properly yet.

      Part D; world grouping matches;

      North India 2.74
      India 2.66
      Asia Minor 1.97
      Arabian 1.47
      Mediterranean 1.37
      Northwest European 0.75
      Australian 0.70
      Eastern European 0.63
      West African 0.58
      etc.

      India now. Just plain strange.

All of my great grandparents after 1762 are from The Netherlands. Before 1762 I have a few gggggggg- grandparents who came from Germany (Dusseldorf area) and one from the Thames Valley in England.

With DNA Tribes my top 5 results are:

        Nepali (Sikkim, India) 134.6
        Dhangar (India) 17.4
        Nepal 16.4
        Lepcha (Sikkim, India) 15.7
        Sherpa (Nepal) 15.7

        For world regions:

        India 5.07
        Asia Minor 1.66
        Tibetan 1.55
        Mongolian 0.83
        Chinese 0.39

Omnipop 200.1 and ProfilerPlus also list my top matches as various Brahmin or related tribes in India.

ENFSI gives my top matches as France (Lille), Belgium and Switzerland.

My Y-DNA is I1a*, and mtDNA is T5. Something does not compute! Maybe Nagelfar and I are related.

I find it interesting that some of us, including my Great Uncle are showing East Indian as their highest matches w/o having any connection to India! I believe that as the database grows, our matches to India will change to another ethnicity.

            India ??

Hello list & John S., If you have Dutch ancestors ,would it be reasonable to think about ancestor(s) in the Dutch East Indies ? I have a friend whose mother appeared Sicilian ? I had difficulty placing her appearance ,but this was very unlikely. Recently ,my friend told me that an English great-great uncle had " gone out " to India & had married an Indian lady.Life is interesting ! KAT.

I suppose it would make sense if DNA tribes were less clear; the populations that are indigenous and the diaspora are clearly separate results.

It claims I'm related to Australian aborigines, for example, and not Europeans of Australian admixture (which would make sense). Of course, they could be way off about to what extent they know the makeup of "indigenous" populations. Still, I should show up first and foremost as NW European; when I do not show up Celtic or Germanic at all.

                        Kelly40,

You have ethnically-relevant matches on this report and they fall within a score range of 166 for Dundee to 87.2 for No. Ireland. You could ignore all match-scores above 166. But if you got an Extended Report you would certainly find additional meaningful matches at lower score ranges.

                        What are your ENFSI results?

Thanks. That's what I originally thought, but then I went with OmniPops "always less" looking results rather than first figure more second figure less.
