Autosomal Matches or close Match

Is there such a thing as an autosomal database? If I get an autosomal DNA test it the future,it would be nice to know how many tested people are matches or near matches to the genes I have or similar ancestry to the one I have. I know this doesn't concern FamilyTreeDNA ,but this is a good site to learn more about genealogy at large.

There are several db's of population frequencies for the autosomal STR's such as offered by FTDNA. Omnipop is a free downloadable Excel program with 200 populations, CSFS is a free online db of Canadian data, and ENFSI is a free online db of European data. DNATribes offers an analysis via their privately assembled db for $100.

I believe Family Tree DNA is working on a more informative database for those who tested their autosomal DNA. I'm not that educated on how the other chromosomes work and how mutation rates work within them. But I find it pretty fascinating the FBI uses data from the autsomal DNA to help determine "ethnicity" in their forensic investigations. So yes, I think it does concern Family Tree DNA as it expands out its services beyond the typical chromosomal testing of yDNA and MtDNA. Interesting stuff ahead and this most definitely will dabble in medical predisposition territory provided more markers are tested.
