  • Question for UK Residents only! - regarding post/courier test kits from FTDNA

This is strictly for people in the UK only! who received a testing kit from FTDNA. Who did it arrive with, Royal Mail? DHL? Parcel Force or someone else? How recently (year) did you get it?

Also did you get hit with customs charges, VAT &/or Excise Duty?

N.B I've already read the help pages & contacting American CS will not help me. I'm interested in personal experience only

    Thanks heaps

Royal Mail will deliver to your door, but if you want to track it, you will have to use DHL website first and after that Royal Mail.

No custom charges, VAT or anything like this

It will go via Germany before it arrives in UK

Thanks for answering, my concern is it would end up with Parcel Force or DPD. I Love RM & avoid PF & DPD like the plague where I currently live(they seemed great at my last address). Seems to be dependent on who your delivery driver is in a particular area
What year did you receive yours? And how long did it take to reach the UK from the USA?
      Thanks again

I received a couple of kits in December 2019 (less than one year ago) and another couple of kits in December 2018

I don't remember exactly how long it did take to reach UK, however it was more than one week, probably around two weeks
