I am from a very English family - but with possible (distant) Spanish, Welsh and Jewish heritage. I am naturally blonde but with black eyebrows (a combo which apparantly is a Dutch 'thing'?) and green eyes. Despite being blonde, I tan very easily and go a dirty olive colour when I sun-bathe, leading people to think I dye my hair, esp the eyebrow thing! My sister is light olive skinned with brown hair, blue eyes and natural blonde streaks. Is anyone else out there naturally blonde haired, but tans very easily?

What a combination - which leads me to enquire about the DNA test! Does anyone know how much one tests costs? I've heard a y-test is roughly £150?

    Hi Charli

If you join a surname group in FamilyTreeDNA a y-DNA 37 Marker test, works out to £104.

Chris (Sunny Worthing) well it was today!

I have two blonde, blue eyed grand children. One sunburns like a typical Nordic and the other tans very quickly in the sun with rarely a burn. My daughter's ancestry is nearly all British Isle and my son-in-law's is also on the paternal side. However, his mother could pass for 100% Native American (probably 50%). It would be interesting to see the difference (if any) in the grand childrens's autosomal DNA test results.
