Thanks for sharing, Sali.
Do you know if you have British Isles ancestry in your family tree? Do you have Brazilian matches in your extended report?
I do have British Isles ancestry, but my matches are further down the list. I don't have Brazilian ancestry, but I have high matches.

My idea is that people traveled up and down from Morocco and Portugal and the British Isles. Maybe while there was still a land bridge, or maybe after the area flooded and looks like it does now and they travled by boat, or both. Southern England used to be connected to France. So maybe Iberia and the the British Isles had a land bridge too?
I did once read about people travelling by boat from Spain to 'discover' Ireland.

The truth!
I was reading terms and conditions on a DNA testing site and if this isnt the truth I dont know what is......I got a good chuckle and could relate to the words shock and disbelief how ever I didnt seek any treatment for it!

I used to have low scores.
I had thought that your 0.33 Chol Maya was the TribeScore that is supposed to be in parentheses., and that your MLI is probably very high. If 0.33 is your MLI, then that is sort of odd because yes I think that your Native American panel scores should be way higher because your parents are Guatemalan.
And for the record, I don't have any known Alaskan Athabaskan ancestry at all

Estremadura
Originally posted by BlackWolf View PostSpanish is my top match. Extremadura, Spain at 205,025.65. It is more than 5 times higher than any other European ancestry.
Anyone happen to know what the Extremaduran people ancestries consist of today?
Here's excerpt from old (1911) article:
"ESTREMADURA, or Extremadura, an ancient territorial division of central and western Portugal, and of western Spain;
comprising the modern districts of Leiria, Santarem and Lisbon, in Portugal, and the modern provinces of Badajoz and
Caceres in Spain. Pop. (1900) 2,095,818; area, 23,055 sq. m. The name of Estremadura appears to be of early Romance
or Late Latin origin, and probably was applied to all the far western lands (extrema ora) bordering upon the lower Tagus,
as far as the Atlantic Ocean. It is thus equivalent to Land's End, or Finistere. In popular speech it is more commonly used
than the names of the modern divisions mentioned above, which were created in the 19th century.
As, however, there are many racial, economic and historic differences between Portuguese and Spanish Estremadura, the
two provinces are separately described below.
Portuguese: The capital and the centers of import and export are here and the rich vitality and artistry of Portugal are
seen everywhere, having a somewhat stubborn Celtic flavor, so that the people are sometimes called the Scots of Europe. In 16th C it was the richest country in the world due to the Atlantic fisheries and widespread seaborne imperial trade including ownership of Brazil and many Far East and African franchises.
Spanish:
Immense herds of swine are bred and constitute a great source of support to the inhabitants, not only supplying them with
food, but also forming a great article of export to other provinces - the pork, bacon and hams being in high esteem. The beech, oak and chestnut woods afford an abundance of food for swine, and there are numerous plantations of olive, corkand fruit trees, but a far greater area of forest has been destroyed. For an account of commerce, mining, ommunications,
&c., in Spanish Estremadura, with a list of the chief towns, see Caceres and Badajoz. In character and physical type, the people of this region are less easily classified than those o
