  • FTDNA and DNA Fingerprint merger

I see that these FTDNA just bought DNA Fingerprint. I guess that means that FTDNA is back in the autosomal business. Ironically I just got an autosomal test from a different company, Trace Genetics, because they have more records on my "tribe".

    Sharing data

I've requested an upload of my data from DNA-Fingerprint to FTDNA. How will I know when it will has been received? Any news re when those who have not tested with FTDNA can take the 37-67 marker upgrade?

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

Have you asked FTDNA? You can send them an e-mail or call them. There is a "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page.

I'm sure that Why-DNA data will be the first to be converted ... if that is any consolation.

DNA-F offers sequencing of sixteen autosomal STR's (Autosomal Panel One and Two) but offers no analysis of results.

Analysis of Panel One results are available from DNATribes for U$100.

Trace Genetics is a reseller of DNAP's ABDNA 2.5 and may still offer an expert analysis of ABDNA results to those who order the ABDNA through them (when I last communicated with them about an expert analysis of ABDNA results ordered through ABDNA, they referred me to DNAP).
