Good work, and I'd say that's a segment to keep an eye on as time goes on, not necessarily to achieve any specific research ends, since that is a rather short length for X-DNA matches, but just because it interests you.
Khazaria, would you agree that the evidence is strong of my aunt's paternal grandmother having some Jewish origins, based on the evidence? Unlike 23andMe there is no "ancestry painting" on the X-chromsome, so I am going on the fact that most of her X-matches are Ashkenazi instead.
Still waiting on her gedmatch upload...

Sorry to resurrect an old posting, but I'm still baffled as to the significance of all this...
Did you see on the last episode of Finding Your Roots where Professor Gates claimed a relationship with Amy Schumer? Of course, they did not identify the most recent common ancestor. Similarly, earlier in the season, they identified Larry David and Bernie Sanders as being related, but again with no MRCA identified.
They are all closely related, but the "experts" are clueless about how. The MRCA is someone who they cannot begin to imagine. Their bad assumption is that the big segments which were used to identify the relationship are IBD. They are not. They are reconstructed DNA matching the MRCA from having multiple lines to him. It a bit of a random thing if the matching segments come up long enough to meet our arbitrary standards of what is considered "a real match".
