  • Halogroup X...what's next?

    Hi,
I am new to the DNA game, but went through the National Geographic project and found out I am halo X. Somewhat surprised considering my family origins (maternally) track back to England. I do believe there was a male on my Mother's side married to a Cherokee woman.

Family names: (maternal) Chase, Lancaster, Eastern.

    Help?

Where was your maternal line 10,000 years ago? That is what your mtDNA Haplogroup is telling you.

The highest concentration of mtDNA haplogroup X is, amazingly, found among the Israeli Druze:

      16% X1 and 11% X2.
