Why would some DNA matches not show

On Matches Map??? I have one match at 37 markers with a GD of 0 that does not show but yet shows on my listing of matches?

Also, what is a 1 step match vs a 2 step match etc?

If not showing on Map, they have not entered and updated their Ancestral Locations

Settings > Genealogy > Earliest Known Ancestor

Step and Genetic Distance (GD) are basically the same thing.

Although above link refers to a single marker, on Matches map a 4 Step for example will be matches that match you with a GD of 4 (multiple markers which may differ)
