  • Spaniard with many doubts!

    Hi everybody!

i've been reading for a while and I still don't find what would be the best solution for my case, maybe you can help!

I'm from Spain, and to my knowledge all my close relatives are... although for many years, many people had asked me about my "asian heritage", which I have no idea where could come from. I want to do a DNA test but my questions are:

-- family tree dna VS ancestry VS 23andme for my case?
    -- regular test or/and mtDNA
-- if/ what national geographic one would add to my search?

    Thanks so so much!

I recommend Family Tree DNA's Family Finder,
followed by free transfers of your data to GEDmatch, MyHeritage, and DNA Land.

I have found 23andme to be the best test for Spaniards and Latin Americans. A person from Spain that posts here at times and has tested many family members at FTDNA and 23andme has also found 23andme to be the best test. She has also collected the results of a 114 Spaniards and 57 Portuguese and posted the results to a website www.iberiandna.com

It's very interesting although difficult to distinguish some the colors. They are so similar.
