There is considerable overlap between Scandinavian and Western and Central Europe. Denmark is the southernmost part of "Scandinavia". The Angles went off and left their DNA all over the place.

Genetically the Scandinavians, British and Western and Central Europe people are not all that different. Sure, they speak different languages and have had different allegiances over the centuries but they're more closely related than they realise.
