  • Hiring someone to interpret DNA results

I am interested in hiring someone to interpret my Dad's DNA results. I am most interested in going back only 5-6 generations. Thank you!

That L1253 Graham cluster is one of the most curious in J1. Good luck with your research. http://genogenea.com/J-M267/tree

        Thanks for the responses.

Thanks. I understand from Roberta Estes (awesome expert) that FTDNA also has someone I could hire to help me but can't for the life of me find it on the website. Sometimes I get so frustrated using this website.

Perhaps this is what you had in mind?

You need to use the link that teyoung posted while logged into your account, in order to view the page. It does say on that page, at the very bottom, that the reports are prepared by Roberta Estes, as an independent contractor. Some sample pages are shown. When I checked that linked page in my own account, there was a message near the bottom saying "We have reached the maximum number of orders for the week. Please visit this page in the coming days for the report's availability."

I haven't seen another genetic genealogist advertised or shown on the FTNDA website, but then again, I haven't really looked for it.

These pages on Roberta's blog give more information on the reports that she does:
            https://dna-explained.com/consulting...naexplain-com/
            http://www.dnaexplain.com

I have never used these services and have no connection with dna-explained.com or dnaexplain.com. Just posting FYI.

This is a Facebook discussion group associated with the FTDNA J1 Project. I'm not a member. If you ask for advice there you might get a perspective different from the one I already provided. https://www.facebook.com/groups/JM267/
