Y DNA test

Hello,

Is it possible to know my place and year of birth with the Y DNA test?
I took the Autosomal test and I discovered many things, not the place of birth.
I grow up with step mother and step father and they gave a fake birth certificate. I am trying to figure the exact place of birth now.

I do not believe and DNA test will be able to give you that information. Using the family finder results to try and identify/locate birth family would be the only way to try and determine that information. Have you identified any close relationship from your family finder results?

No! Y-DNA test only find possible paternal line matches. FTDNA does provide an estimated range to the number of generations between the to matches.

Family Finder looks at all lines and gives an estimated relationship. Finding a parent, sibling, half sibling or a close cousin would be of greater benefit.
