  • "Jenifer Johnson," as far as any of us here knows, is a screen name, not a woman.

Merely revealing the fact that a person using that screen name was also posting at Stormfront.org is not "stalking", "harassing," "abusing" or "threatening" anyone.

My plan for "Jenifer Johnson" - whoever he, she or it may be - is to ignore him, her, or it.

On January 5, 2006, President Bush signed into law: H.R. 3402, the "Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005," which reauthorizes the Violence Against Women Act for for years 2007-2011, makes amendments to criminal and immigration law, consolidates major law enforcement grant programs and authorizes appropriations for the Department of Justice for for years 2006-2009. According to "TITLE I--ENHANCING JUDICIAL AND LAW ENFORCEMENT TOOLS TO COMBAT VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN, Section 113. Preventing Cyberstalking ... Whoever ... utilizes any device or software that can be used to originate telecommunications or other types of communications that are transmitted, in whole or in part, by the Internet ... without disclosing his identity and with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any person ... who receives the communications ... shall be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than two years, or both."

      You have been warned.

      Davis,

Why are you posting the law here? No one has threatened her or is stalking her or anything of that nature. She came here accusing everyone of being a liar and fraud.

I guess I am just confused of the purpose of this post.

and why have we been "WARNED"?

I think Jenifer posted that here herself once. Apparently she is posting it over at Genealogy.com, as well. Davis1946 was just quoting her.

He was just quoting her post. Can we please drop this topic, though? It shouldn't have even been brought up again. I couldn't care less what's happening on other boards.

            • Anybody else having trouble accessing his or her FTDNA personal homepage?

I was trying to see if my 67-marker upgrade has been assigned a batch number yet, but I haven't been able to get into my homepage.

I tried it again just now and got in right away.

Just found out my 67-marker upgrade is in Batch 160 and expected on August 21st.

It will be easy for me to wait for that date. I'm a teacher and out for the summer. I'm not anxious for the end of August to arrive, so the 21st can take its sweet time getting here!

                    Oh, yeah!

                    • Stevo - not exactly "sales", more "re-sales". I'm an antique dealer. It kind of came about out of my addiction to genealogy. Now it's an addiction also. It's better than compulsively buying clothes or nicky-nackys for the house. Antiques tie in with history & sometimes genealogy. So it all fits together in my mind. Glad you upgraded. Then later it's on to the mtdna!

Glad to be of service. When you asked for arguments to convince you about upgrading to 67 markers, I sort of drew a blank, although it seemed that you were ready to do it. I guess I gave you my argument last month without realizing it.

If you want to know the truth, if you have to decide how to spend more money testing, I'd encourage you to test for the S-series SNPs at Ethnoancestry. Given that there's a good chance that you're S21+, if I were you, I'd want to know for sure. But then you've already sprung for the deep clade R1b test here at FTDNA, so I guess upgrading to 67 markers is the next best choice.

How's that for conflicting you even more??? LOL

                        Mike

                          No kidding!

I'll stick with FTDNA for now and hope they are able to start testing for more R1b SNPs soon.

The EA series is more than I want to spend at one time right now, especially since, as you said, I've already sprung for the Deep SNP-R1b test from FTDNA.

I like the service I've received from FTDNA and the way FTDNA has treated me.

Who knows what new stuff is just around the corner?

That's definitely on the radar, but still some distance from the airport.

I'd kind of like to get my wife tested first . . . if she'll agree.

Right now she laughs when I mention it.

                            • Technical Question

I have not figured out how to enclose a quote from someone in my posts. Like when it says originally posted by ------- ,with the quote I want to refer to in a box within my post. So far, my attempts have been confusing to people reading them. Can you help me out? Thanks.

                                Davis,
Find the message in the thread you wish to quote and in the lower right of the message you'll see "Quote." Click on it. A 'Reply to Thread" screen opens up with the message you want to quote prepopulated with the appropriate tags. Just start typing your message immediately below and, when done, hit the 'Submit Reply' button.

If the message I'm quoting is long, I do delete the portions that are not relevant.
