I don't make predictions on Costa Rica' s players hgs. As for Germany R1b (lots of fellow S21+'s) could be the bulk? And then? What about R1a, I1a and some J?
Maybe some R1as, too, and who knows what else.
Costa Rica may have a few R1bs of Spanish descent.
What about the USA team? We're going to confront uh? Italy looks good, but we already knew it, Italian players only care at looking good...Honestly I don't think Italy is going to do a good World Cup.

I saw that FIFA has the USA ranked as No. 5, tied with Spain.
I don't believe it.
I don't want to get my hopes up for the U.S. team.
Most of my students love Brazil. They like the flash of Ronaldinho and Ronaldo.
I hope one of the European teams knocks off Brazil. The Czechs could do it, or maybe the Dutch.

You don't like your students, do you?
My middle daughter played in a tourney last weekend. 3 games, 3 ties. I have to say the 3rd game was probably the most exciting one I've ever seen her play in. All they could do was play spoiler...knock the team they were playing out of the championship game...and were down 0-1 late. One of our girls had a break-away and ended up being pushed from behind to stop her from scoring. She hits the penalty kick from about 30 yards out and we end up with a 1 - 1 tie. The team was from up your way, Stevo...Loudon Co.
I like my students, I am just not a big fan of the Brazilian team.
They are good, though.

Good for your daughter's team.
Loudon has filled up with rich fat cats from DC who drove up the home prices there.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think their defense is weak...
The USA female national team is very strong. I wonder if the fact I used to play soccer in my high school, if I lived in the US, would have undermined my reputation as for virility...

I hope so.
I hope someone can knock Brazil out. I don't know why I feel that way, but I do. Maybe it's all the hype. I tend to pull for the underdogs.

I haven't followed the female team. I wasn't aware they were good.
Remember Mia Hamm?
I think I may be related to her, although I'm not sure.
She's from Alabama, and I have some Alabama Hamms in my family tree somewhere.
Who do you and your daughter like in the World Cup (besides the USA, of course)?
I assume you mean like as in who we believe may win?
Discounting the favorite, Brazil, I'd go with the winner of a Germany/Argentina matchup.
My daughter is like I was when I played football (American). I loved to play but I'd be damned if I was going to spend a lot of time watching it on TV so I never really knew who was doing what at the college/pro level.

I guess I used the wrong expression.
I really meant, "Who do you want to win?"

I watched a lot of American football growing up because my Dad is a big fan (still is). I don't watch it much now, although every now and then I will.
