  • Question - How to find Ancestral& Derived Values from SNP Test

    Hi,

I just tested for CTS9733 and it came back positive. Is there some way to determine the Ancestral and Derived values?

    Thanks

When it is not at http://www.isogg.org/tree/ISOGG_YDNA_SNP_Index.html then go to http://ybrowse.org/gb2/gbrowse/chrY/ and paste the SNP in the search box then click on it once the it shows up in the graphic.

If you are CTS9733+, then your value is C (derived).

        CTS9733- value is T (ancestral)
