Hello everyone, I recently tried using MorleyDNA.com Y-SNP Terminal Subclade Predictor in order to find my Y DNA haplogroup, but it has left me with some questions as to interpreting it. First it gives you the option to use either the ISOGG tree or the experimental tree both of which give me slightly different haplogrops. I then do not know which haplogroup is mine as it lists several to the left of the screen. Thanks for any help! P.S. I have already tried posting this to reddit genealogy with no replies so I am hoping somebody can help me here.

If you want to know your haplogroup with certainty, you'll have to do some SNP testing. Haplogroup predictors do exactly what the name implies - they predict your haplogroup and maybe a major subclade based on common (modal) marker counts found in different haplogroups and subclades.
As a prediction, they may be wrong. A predictor will probably get the major haplogroup right, such as J2 or E1b1b or R1b, but once you get into the subclades of a major haplogroup, especially for R1b, the accuracy of the prediction will probably decline.
So, the first thing to do is to join the appropriate haplogroup project, based on what FTDNA has predicted for you. Then consult with the project administrator(s) about what SNP testing should be next for you, especially a SNP pack. Looking at your STRs, the project administrator(s) may be able to steer you to the best SNP testing option.
By the way, what has FTDNA predicted your haplogroup to be?

I thought, there is no means to get a prediction of a y-haplogroup from autosomal data?
