I recently started getting into the family DNA and tested myself. I was very surprised by the results. So I had my parents both my mother and father take the test and surprisingly the results didn't come out as seemed. My mother was match to me as a mother or daughter however my father's results just came in but he wasn't matched to me. I'm wondering if the Family Tree DNA test doesn't match to fathers or is it just that my father isn't my biological father. Can someone help. Does the Family Tree DNA only test the maternal line?

You both took the Family Finder test? If you took two different kinds of tests, you won't see a match.
You and your biological mother should match on both Family Finder and mtDNA tests, as long as you have both taken the same kind of tests.
You and your biological father should match on Family Finder and, if you are a male, on Y-DNA, as long as you have both taken the same kind of tests.
If your father took a Y-DNA test but not FF, he wouldn't show up in your FF matches.
If you both took the same kind of test, the first thing you should do is check the Match and Email Settings under Privacy Settings for both of your accounts. You both have to be set to Yes, or neither of you will see the other.
If you've done that, but he still doesn't show up, you might want to prepare for the possibility that he is not your biological father.

Additional points:- you should phone FTDNA and ask for a verification, to exclude a possibility that something went wrong with your father test;
- regardless of the above, you may want to test yourself and your father elsewhere to confirm the results (there was recently a suggestion in the forum that implied at least one person noticing the received collection kit having a wrong number);
- I am recommending that until you retest and become more comfortable with understanding DNA tests, you do not discuss the DNA results with your family.

There have also been posts here and there about some matches not showing up when they should. So if you and your father have taken the Family Finder test but do not seem to appear in each other's list of matches, then transfer your DNA data to Gedmatch.com for comparison.
Gedmatch is free and if you both match as much as you and your mom do, then it was just a FTDNA issue.
