  • What do I do with my Y results?

I just got my Y111 results back, but I'm a bit overwhelmed.

I'm M512, what does that mean? There doesn't seem to be a lot of information and the ancestral map doesn't show anything.

How do I connect my Y-Dna matches to me?

    I got "25 MARKERS - 51 MATCHES"

The table looks kinda like that:

    "Genetic Distance"---"Tests"---"Y-Dna Haplo"---"Terminal SNP"
    0------------------------------Y-DNA 37----R-M198----------M198
    1------------------------------Y-DNA 111---R-L1029---------L1029
    2------------------------------Y-DNA 111---R-L1029---------L1029
    2------------------------------Y-DNA 37----R-M512----------M512
    2------------------------------Y-DNA 37----R-M512

It goes on like that. How do I know with whom I share a common paternal ancestor?

What else can I do to help extending my tree?

    Thanks for the help

      Edit:// It's only Y-DNA 67. Not 111. Sorry for the mix-up

Glad to hear that you got results. What batch were you in?

Batch 603. Took them long enough, more than 3 months.
