Family Finder Test
FYI, whoever owns your uncle's FTDNA account may be able to order autosomal DNA results (Family Finder) for your uncle, assuming FTNA has a sample of his DNA in storage from the Y-DNA test.

You cannot compare Y-DNA and autosomal DNA. If you had a Family Finder test on your uncle then you could expect to see a match with your transferred data.

TESTING DIDN'T MATCH ME TO MY UNCLE
Before my uncle (mother's oldest brother) passed away a couple of years ago, I paid to have Y67 DNA testing performed thru FTDNA in an attempt to connect our family with the Palatines who came from Germany in 1709-1710. Recently I did testing through Ancestry.com to dig further into my Finnish roots, and last week FTDNA let me download my raw autosomal data from ancestry into FTDNA. I fully expected to see my uncle show up in my "matches," but he did not. I know my mom and uncle both had the same mother, so shouldn't he have been matched to me? Thanks.Tags: None
