  • GD=3 at 37 markers, but not a match with FF?

My brother's kit has a match at 37 markers with a GD of 3. Both he and this match have FF tests, but the man doesn't show in my brother's FF list.

Is this because FF matches are more recent?

Autosomal DNA and Y-DNA are two different things. Even if someone has match all 37 markers, their common patrilineal ancestor could be 500 or a thousand years ago.

Yes, many relatives past 3rd cousins will not show as a FF match.
