Test upgrades: are new samples required?

Hi Guys, my Mum and Dad have both taken MT DNA tests with FTDNA. Should they order new tests, would they have to send in new samples?

New samples should not be needed. If they do not have enough DNA from original samples they will then send out new swab kits, but I would think they would still have plenty left to run tests on.

My father samples for example, (believe back on original order they issued 3 swabs)has had the following tests done without needing new sample
