Fair Iranians

Maybe the large Kurgan (R1a?) influence.

I suspect as much. I read somewhere that the ancestors of the Indo Iranians came from the steppes in southern Russia. If this is true, it would make sense that many modern Iranians share this R1a with Europeans descended from steppe pastoralists. I just wonder what percentage of Iranians today have this R1a. Because they didn't enter a vacuum. The Iranian plateau was originally settled by non Indo Iranians who the R1a invaders mixed with?

I live next door to an Iranian family and their daughter is fair (and gorgeous). Maybe the large Kurgan (R1a?) influence.

I just looked at this FB site. It's full of fair complexioned, blond/brown haired, blue/green eyed Iranians.

What DNA do they have and what European populations do they share this DNA with? How and when did these fair skinned Iranians get to Persia and what percentage of the population do they represent? What other races did they blend with to result in the "typical" Iranian look of modern times?

They probably are descended from Europeans.
