Please read my questions bellow--
1.In DNA replication, the DNA double helix uncoils by the enzyme HELICASE. What the term "uncoiling" stands here for? Is it breaking of the hydrogen bonds between the nucleotides of the two strands? If yes, then, during transcription process of protein synthesis, why HELICASE is not required to separate the two strands?
2.What is the need of formation of RNA PRIMER, during DNA replication?
Can anybody help me? I would be thankfull for everybody.
