  • East India and South India and Africa Connection Research

    Hi folks

By trade, I am a speciliast in Information Management, Retrieval and Analysis . I have a commercial interest in starting a commercial Family Tree DNA focussed on disease identification and am interested in general feedback from this forum- Will this business fly. Level of education is increasing and people, before deciding to have children may wish to get a "Gene Checkup" also.

Second, I have always been very curious about the cause of similarity between a State in the East of India and the South of India. The similarities are:-
    - People from both these states like to eat fish.
    - They are good in soccer.
    - Both are rich in art/education.
    -Both have a communist history.

I would like to know if the Family DNA test from these two states which are spearated physically can show some genetic connection evidence.

The people from the South are dark skinned and have curly hair and people say that long before land was one mass, Africa and South India were one peice of land.

    Any comments or thoughts ?

    Thanks
    Kumar

Well, all the continents split from the Pangaea land mans around 65 million years ago. Sapiens only entered Eurasia 65 thousand years ago. Indians phenotype is well adapted to their environment. Also, India was the first place colonised after the initial dispersal from Africa, so one shouldn’t be too surprised if some Indians look like the first Eurasians.
