  • Unexpected results.

As a Total Newbie I received my results as follows. W Europe 51%, Iranian and Jewish 49%. My mother is English and my father was from Cyprus. I expected some Greek in the breakdown, but none. Is this due to the mass migration to Cyprus during the distant past, but why no Greek percentage? Please can someone enlighten me?

The population of Cyprus is quite mixed. It includes not only Greeks and Turks but Levantines (Phoenicians, Jews etc.) and Romans as well.

On the other hand, PF has had problems in identifying Mediterranean populations. Perhaps the new PF will show some Greek ancestry.
