At times there are posts about NPEs. Some people think there is an NPE when two haplotypes are a close match with two different surnames. What they dont seem to grasp is that the SNP branch that they belong to could be 3000 or 4000 years old.Some surnames only go back as far as 600-1000 years.If two people with the same private SNP have different surnames then it is possible that there was an NPE.
