Surnames didnt always exist and in alot of places the same people live where their ancestors 1000 yrs ago lived before surnames why wouldnt the native surnames share the same ydna lines?

Surname Geneology and DNA geneology.

I have a sneaky suspicion that many Surname Geneologists are going to be disappointed in their attempts to complete distant pedigree sheets using DNA. Surname and Spermname are entirely different. I don't tend to believe that human beings were any more monogamous in the past than they are today. Without any modern forms of birth control, and no DNA tests available until very recently, biological paternity was often only a guess.

if today i found i wasnt my dads son. i would still be my dads son still a denning with the stuff i learnt from him. maybe i could find the real dad but it wouldnt kill me. what i want is the story. is there any genealogist who wouldnt record and bad thing in their family. that person isnt a genealogist but a fiction author

i went into this with the idea my longford ireland people [stonemasons] came with lady forbes to ireland from scotland. which is where they fled to avoid persicution as roman catholics. i just wanted to prove this

so i get my 12/12 back 48 and 24 of them are askenasi some with family ties to Israel. i was impressed everyone said pay no attention it means nothing.
but when i started to get 25 matches and higher many had family stories of their people being forced to convert from judism. well it started to look like something.

the name denning is one of the most variable names in english the dnnng run together vowel points drift. i have been dennehy dennis danning dennin dennen dennahy danahy dinnin dinan in my short life . people i worked with for 20 yrs still call me them.

i can imagine a sephardic jew named dannanberg comming to england for the normans to collect taxes and administer the new land. maybe he stayed and eventually he converted or was forced to. a converted jew would not want berg so they dropped it. from there itis easy to get the rest.

a story yeah now it is but i want to test some dannenbergs bigtime.
as we sitrhere typing the total tested is 80,000 or so , when its 9,000,000 thats when it will be clearer . if i continue to get the same as i do know .when should i believe it

i have seen the figures on no parental events as people call them,i dont buy them either, i buy what i see. thisis a 1000 peice puzzle and every week we get 12 peices in the mail. slowly we get clues someone is providing us.

there are different lines in genealogy\
ones we see on paper and follow

the ones you dont see to infidelity or other things

dna can prove one and disprove others or go another direction entirely

as an e3b1 i dont really care whether i came 30,000 yrs ago or 400 yrs ago

i enjoy the hunt and i'll be at the mailbox waiting for that envelope till i get all 1000 peices
