    The remains of two sailors who died more than 150 years ago when their Civil War-era ironclad ship, the USS Monitor, sank will be buried with full military honors Friday in Virginia's Arlington National Cemetery.

    Interesting. They don't mention what sorts of DNA they were able to extract. It sounds like they might have managed to get autosomal as well as mtDNA.

        I thought they got Y as they were able to link a male sailor to (a possible) male descendant but the connection could be on the maternal line.
