My best friend and I both did the Genographic test kit and are now hoping to do some further testing if it's possible to narrow down our results.
I am in the haplogroup V with 1 mutation-16298C. As far as I can tell, there are no subgroups for group V. Would any other tests reveal more information for me?
My friend is in haplogroup U with 3 mutations-16134T, 16356C, 16519C. I looked up her mutations at mitosearch.org and to me it looks like she falls into the U4 subhaplogroup.
We had heard about autosomal (spelling?) tests that will give you a percentage as to what groups you fall under i.e. 35% northern european, etc. Are those tests going to provide us anymore information than what we currently have?
