Is it normal for the scraper to have some blood on it after obtaining the sample? I wanted to scrape "forcefully" as instructed, but wasn't sure if this effect was normal. Any thoughts before I take sample #2?

Per FamilyTreeDNA: A little blood on the scraper is common and does not impact the quality of the sample. Rather it probably ensures that the scraping was forceful enough to obtain a good sample.

Thanks for following up on that Jeff. I had the same thing happen on my second sample and just figured that there was DNA in that one for sure.
