Yes, there was an email glitch. FTDNA just got a bunch of phone calls and emails about it. IT is looking into it right now

I just got the emails for deep clad Y testing.....last thing I knew I had 2 daughters that tested!!!

So I saw this thread after I posted a new one on the same issue. Yes, I thought it weird to get the Y deep clade test when I'm a woman. Sheesh!

I hope the site has not been hacked. Has anyone gotten e-mails from FF matches that direct them to other web page or has anyone heard about something like that happening or is it just e-mails from FTDNA test?

I haven't had any messages other than the one from FTDNA telling me about a test being complete which is a glitch. What happened to you sounds pretty serious. Hope you find out what that is all about. Good luck.

yeah i've received this one as well "Advanced Order test results have been posted for kit "...
but I like to backup what I can so I downloaded my autosomal and x chromosome dna as well as mtdna and y chromosome str results and certificates

Anybody who has ever administered a project will tell you that FTDNA's notification system has always been broken, it has never been right to begin with.
