If my admixture result says for example 10% African then the generation that it represents, if it was the result of one person, would be either a Great of GG Grandparent - correct?
And if there is no G or GG grandparent then each successive ancestral generation would have to include more indviduals to make-up that 10% -correct?
And if I go back say 6-7 generations without discovering any what could this mean? I mean the farther you go back you would have to find more and more individuals to make-up that 10% in the present generation - correct? 10% on a test like the Geno 2.0 could not be in error - at least very unlikely - right?
Does it seem likely that someone with a present 10% could not find one individual back to 6-7 generations yet expect to have a number of individuals further back that contributed to this result? I know it is possible that, say, 10 generations ago 6 or 7 Africans mixed with 6 or 7 Europeans and that those 6 or 7 Mixed persons passed on thier genes which ended-up with a present result of 10% in a single person in this generation - but how likely is that. In my paper records (I know their could be errors there) I just don't see it.
