    Can anyone recommend any good books on Dna testing and family history.

    I want the most up to date book. Some were published some years ago.

    i would like one that explains all types. Ydna Mdna X and autosomal.

    Here are two that I own and can recommended:-

    This one will get you started and provided copious information on web resources:

    "DNA and Social Networking: A Guide to Genealogy in the Twenty-First Century" by Debbie Kennett.

    And this one is a great introduction to SNPs, both mt and Y and is written in an interesting and accessible style.

    "Deep Ancestry - Inside the Genographic Project" by Spencer Wells.

    You'll find both on Amazon.
