        This a not a good calculator for the Irish. My wifes result is Cornwall and mine Argyll.

          My West-Finnish results are below. I find it hard to see what is so 'ultimate' in these. Population percents seem normal.

          In Oracle, Finland_West population is missing and somehow I end up having most shared roots with Ing(e)rian (the component 'Inkeri' is Ingria in Finnish). Ingrian Finns moved to Ingria as late as 17th century, and they are not ancestral to me.

          The 4-Ancestors Oracle results are again as 'random' as one could expect. Not totally random, but still not very convincing.

              I agree about FTDNA's MyOrigins. For me, it feels somewhat coarse (95% Finnish&Siberia + 5% Scandinavia), but still it is as good as it gets, compared to facts: my known ancestry and my FF and haplogroup matches' geographical distribution.

                We need some clever person to create a decent calculator for western Europeans.

                  I have found 23andme to still be the calculator that consistently provides results that more closely match people's known ancestry. None of the Gedmatch calculators come anywhere close to 23andme and Ancestry comes in a close second.
