This is interesting. I wonder what differences in cognitive function emerge from the variation in lipid content between populations. I've also been noticing measures taken in the media to keep this new archaic genetic data as PC as possible, basically writing misleading headlines like "Neanderthal genes gave modern humans an advantage," or being vague about the population differences in archaic admixture, specific gene inheritance, etc. It's all very fascinating, would be unfortunate if ideology were to get involved.
