    QC Failures

I have a question: I placed an order for a Big-Y 500 test back in September. About a month ago I contacted FTDNA and was notified via e-mail that my sample failed to pass quality control. Question: after how many QC failures would FTDNA request a new sample from me? ( I realize that the Big-Y 500 test was upgraded to Big-Y 700 recently.)

    Thanks!

No idea, my understanding is they will try to use every last bit of the sample as they can before officially requesting a new one. Often greatly extending the timeline for the test results coming back because of it. You can often short-circuit the process by asking a CSR if the lab would benefit from a new sample.
