Is it okay if you told someone that you saw someone as a match

Is it illegal to tell someone that you matched DNA with someone? Is their any privacy clause?

I am doing exactly what you wrote all the time and my family is expecting that.

And if I understand correctly, some of the posts here indicate that I am surely not the only person who is telling others about matches.


I am even doing more. I am telling about matches of "kits" that are not mine - I am only administering them.

I usually only mention names if I know the match is on the other person's match list, so they can take a look. I manage a small project. Otherwise I refer to them as Match A, etc.
