Current Y-DNA batch# ?

How does this take? Will I get a confirmation that my test was received? I sent in my sample three of fours days ago. Will I be notified of its status? Via email or on My FTDNA page?

Many people note the bar code on the return envelope, so they can track the package on the USPS website, to see when it reaches the Houston Post Office. It will show as being "delivered" at that point. But, arriving at that P.O. does not guarantee it has actually been delivered to FTDNA. The Houston P.O. sometimes has delays in delivery, so logging in to your FTDNA account and checking the status of your order is the best way to see if FTDNA has received your test, when it has been batched, and when it has been received by the lab. Click on the orange link "Complete Order History" in the left column of your Dashboard page, to get to your Order History page. If a test in process, there is usually another link to see the estimated completion date (this is only an estimate).

I'm not sure if FTDNA sends out any emails currently about having received a kit back, but in my experience they don't send emails about the status of a kit in process.

Some people in my project have SNP's still pending from February. Don't have batch numbers but this is surely unacceptable.

Upgrade from Y-DNA12 to Y-DNA37, batched on 2018-06-11 (batch 867). Results came in today (2018-06-29): 18 days.

My Y-DNA was batched in #847 but had to be redone and finally completed yesterday.

Big surprise. NOT! My only matches were four other male-line descendants of Andrew Newcomb. My family is so boring.

I've got the results today. It was batched 9th of July.

That means 18 days for YDNA upgrade. (Just like suggested in above posts). Good work.

However no matches beyond 25. That is disappointing..
