  • FTDNA down?

Been trying to load FTDNA on my browser but I keep getting the FTDNA error page of 'houston we have a problem'....for about 10 minutes now.
Just wondering if the site is down? If not, then it might be an issue on my end.

oh and my Origins is now different??
            I am now 99% European...and 1% Central Asian??
with 61% being Western and Central Europe
            and
            38% from the British Isles....
(WTH? A large portion of ancestors come from Ireland, England and Scotland; alot of New England English families..)
            Before I was:
            50% Western and Central European
            46% British Isles
            2% Finland and Northern Siberian
            and
            2% Central/South Asian....

Any idea what they have been changing? Apart from screwing up the trees so that the ancestry view becomes totally static on an ipad? Cannot move it up, down, left, right or reduce in size.

I also still have female heads that have had a blue rinse.

They are definitely uploading results(and whatever else). My mom's myOrigins were FINALLY up yesterday (odd, I thought I looked Friday). This was my kit that took a week to get to my mom, 5 weeks to get from IL to Houston. Two weeks to get from the FTDNA mailroom to the lab and another almost two weeks to batch LOL. Anyhow, I just logged in to find a WHOLE TWO MATCHES! YAY! LMAO But... neither are to me or my kids! LMAO Funny... I DO match my dad, so odd's are that my mom IS my mom (I would think she would have fessed up otherwise before submitting her DNA LMAO). I should also add, I do have many dozens of matches that don't seem to fit my dad's side of the family and would fit my mom's potentially. Oiy... I am sure more results will be posted, the test is still showing as pending but this is beyond funny now in a not so funny way!

Top ten list why customer alive is a problem

I feel they target the already passed away as customer base ;-) ==> as they have the sample they could set up some kind of "life long" subscription to biúy all new tests also in your afterlife ;.)

My top ten list why FTDNA shouldnt have customers

                            1. Less complains
                            2. No need to have a working change management system
                            3. Why have follow up on call tickets? The customer has already passed away ;-)
                            4. No problems any more that the family tree function sucks
                            5. No more need to redo the family tree presentation one more time
                            6. No more problem with people complaining on odd non USA characters like åäö and speaks about UTF-8
                            7. No problems with customer trying to explain that searching on surnames is not good when we have patronymicon
                            8. No more problems that customer would like to see when someone else has updated the family tree if something has happened that impact your research
                            9. No more problem with people complaining on that sorting the result list still after a year doesnt work
                            10. No more problem with people that would like to be able to change the threshold of cM for people displayed in the resultlist

I haven't lost my 'one' FF match, but I am curious how I can get 81 screens of matches from Ancestry.com and only 'one' FF match on FTDNA which claims to have the LARGEST DNA Database.
