I'm surprised that FTDNA hasn't already sent you a new sample kit.

When and if that occurs, make sure you uncle makes good scrapes. My recommendation is to get him to scrape very first thing after waking up in the morning before doing anything else, over two days, one sample each day.

The sample is known to be good. The 37 marker test, a SNP and the Big Y tests all came back no problem and on time. I've never gotten an indication that the second vial has had to be used for any of the tests. According to others, there was something that changed in the process for Batch 603 because some product was no longer available for the old process. As a result, all of Batch 603 has seemed to have had problems.

In general, the Y67 upgrades seem to be slow all around. I had one completed in May that took 164 days from the batch date. This one is already at 178 and counting with results not expected for another 2 weeks at least. My two other Y67's took 89 days and 99 days.

And the last 13 markers are in! I didn't get email notification, but as admin of the project, I started getting match notifications and went to check. Interestingly, the match date for matching with these new results are shown as 06/03 and not 06/26 when the last markers were posted.

I really hope they will refund 100% and offer you another testing for free!
Nothing less would reconcile me after such an outrageous delay! Maybe.
