Test... Test... and Re-Test...

First test was delivered to FTDNA on 15 Dec 2014 and given the Batch Number 602 on 25 Dec 2014. The dates were pushed out 3 times because of delays. Then out of nowhere... I received another DNA kit late last month. I called and was told I needed to be re-tested which was not a problem but, I did express my issues with them not indicating this at all online. So I sent in another test kit and was received by FTDNA on 04 Mar 2015 (I always keep copies of all the documents I send in). I understand another date change but, what I don't understand is that there is still nothing at all (within the "Order History" nor the "Awaiting Lab Results" pages) reflecting the re-test at all. I wish they would provide better information and actual real time historical information even for any retests. I paid allot of money for "mtDNA Plus with HRV1-2" and "Y-DNA37 with Markers 1-12, 13-25 & 26-37". This is really upsetting!!!

Based on your description, the fact that you had received another collection kit means that at least four (4) tests were already done... And at least two of them had failed. Quite likely, twice as many tests (8) were done on your samples...

The received date of the 4th of March 2015, was that information from USPS or FTDNA?

I am in batch 602 waiting on Y-DNA through 67 updated from Y-DNA 37 no one has sent me anything about retesting or a new test kit, just keeps pushing back the date when it will be available, now March 25th - April 5th.

Sorry about the date being pushed back again, it really sucks. Would you contact FTDNA? In my experience thus far, they don't bother getting in contact with you and prefer to leave you hanging.

Just wanna say I got my results in yesterday!!!! I checked my account out of curiosity and it was there!!! As mentioned they told me my test would be rerun, but it arrived the March 24th so I don't think it even needed a rerun... Anyway FTDNA says my results match Niall Of The Nine Hostages, completely unexpected but exciting stuff. Hope everyone else waiting for their results gets theirs soon! Are there still people waiting? I hope not!

i keep getting this you have 3 more Y-DNA matches but click on pull down tab and nothing? maybe they are 67 matches and those results haven't been posted to me yet? FT rep says first try failed so, 5-6 more weeks.

My fathers Y-DNA 111 marker upgrade from batch 602 was just extended again, now to 4/15/15 - 4/29/15. The first panel was completed on 1/30/15 but the rest keep getting extended. the only thing that is different is the new message:
"Your testing is under review with our data assurance team. If we need action by you, we will send an email to the email address that is primary on the account. Thank you."

We will see if that actually happens as we have never received any notification of any of the extended dates.

Extended again to 04/15/2015 - 04/29/2015. This is getting really annoying.
