My dad's FF test was batched on 12/11, and was completed on 12/30, so 19 days to get his results back.

The only plus I can see in all of this is that over the holidays everything may have been caught up on as best they can which might mean the lab is ready-ish for the influx!

I administer 8 kits with FF results. The only results we waited for longer than 4 weeks were my dad's and mine - both transfers from National Geographic. His came in last night after almost 6 weeks. Mine took 3 months.FTDNA gave me a refund. Any test kit I ordered new from FTDNA came in within the expected time.

I do suspect there were a lot of more tests sold in the sales so I wonder how they will handle them all!!

Any idea of the average processing time for an mtDNA kit? Yesterday got confirmation they received the kit - FAQ says processing time can be 6-8 weeks but I'm hoping that's the maximum, not the norm. Hoping the norm is more like 2-3 weeks.

In my experience, this appears to be especially true if you bought in during a high-volume sale.
