So maybe thats what they are doing now, batching before they go to the lab rather than afterwards, I'm in batch 604 and that was marked as received in the lab by the looks of it when yours were put into batch 605...

Oh,so were my kits! Batch 605 stating 3-4 weeks. I must have looked about an hour before they did it . I like it when they reach this point.

My two have also not been received by lab, but at least I know for sure they are there.

My cousin's kit was batched today - Batch 605. Still not received by the lab.

This does sound plausible. I have had two tests received by FtDNA in the past week - one on the 9th, one on the 10th. Now the 15th and neither have yet been batched. My earlier kits were batched the day or two after being received.

Presumably the latest batch was/will be released today or tomorrow, and this lot will then be batched.

Tis all bit hit and miss with them, maybe they are changing how they do things in the hope of being more accurate, being batched first then going to lab might make things more visible when we log in, when we've logged in and seen received by lab, and batched we've no idea then after that, but being batched then sent to the lab might mean its a better time line to see whats going on with it... I'd rather see it sitting as batched for a week then going to the lab, than to see it going to the lab and batched at the same time and not knowing where it is!!

    Who knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same thing here. My cousin's kit was received 6 days ago, isn't yet batched or received by the lab. All of my other kits (6 of them direct tested) were received, batched, and rec'd by the lab within a couple of days. However, I've been at this since 2006 (National Genographic) and began the FF testing a couple of years ago. It's MUCH more popular now and this was a HUGE sale. My other kits were completed between 17 days and 6 weeks. I'm pretty sure this will be on the latter end or more.

My dads kit was only marked as received by the lab today, a week after it was batched, whereas my own when it was done was marked as received by the lab on the 11th June, batched on the 12th june....

I do suspect there were a lot of more tests sold in the sales so I wonder how they will handle them all!!
My kit batched 12/18/2014 I received results 1/7/2015....during the sale.

It is also important to note that they may not actually get around to running your test for as much as several months after they give you a batch date.

In my experience, this appears to be especially true if you bought in during a high-volume sale.

    Mine took about 5 months.

My brother's mtDNA took 6 weeks exactly from the day it was batched.

At best, you can hope for 5 weeks for a full mtDNA result. But that starts from the day the test is batched, not from the day the kit is received.

    Call it a technology limitation
