Four of the panels have posted but not the markers 38 - 67

Still no change here for batch 598. Although speaking to another customer service tech they put in a ticket and of course the obligatory....... "I have heard back from the lab they can confirm that at least one marker failed and they are currently rerunning testing which is causing the added delay. Provided everything passes quality control on this second run we they estimate results within the next three to five weeks."

Somehow I have a hard time believing it.

So if one panels already late is it safe to assume the others will be too? Will they all come at once? What's the purpose of these time frames if they're meaningless?

You should start making calls! We got kit 593 over a week ago for 111 markers.

I was informed this morning that I will need to retest. I guess they are sending me a new kit. I get to start over again. I'm glad I know but I am not thrilled with this answer. I'm leaving the country soon so if the new kit does get here in time it will be late February before I can send it back.

Many people have been told they would need new kits, only to have their results suddenly appear. It's hard to tell what might actually be going on with your kit.

Notified before Christmas "1-3 weeks2. Notified early January "1-2 weeks". Notified 19th of January "between the 15th and 29th". Tomorrow's the 29th.

My husband's Y37 test in batch 590 finally cam through with results this past Saturday. The expected completion date changed at least 3 to 4 times, maybe more. It was frustrating, to say the least.

Results posted, well somewhat.

No panel two. So all matches are based on 12 markers only. Haplogroup in as well but since it's based on 12 markers it's pretty far up the R tree from where I know I am.

Anything New

I saw where a 601 batchee got their Y11 upgrade in.

I still don't have my panel#2, which is really important since otherwise all my matches are only on the Y12 level. Uploaded the results to Ysearch though but still really need that 2nd panel.

I hope some of you have had some results come in.

Still waiting for 3 panels of my dad's Y-111 upgrade (markers 38-67), which was in batch 597. The updated time frame says that the earliest date for those now is 4 February.

On the other hand, I did get my mtDNA results today, which was in batch 601, right on schedule.

I have had several email communications with FTDNA. I thought I was going to be retested but that is not the case now. Still waiting on Y67 in batch 593.

Bummed

I finally came here to see if I am alone ... of course not. I am waiting on tests for two family members, both Y-DNA 37. One was an upgrade and the request was sent November 4, THREE MONTHS AGO! I have never had an email. He is batch 595, my brother's sample was a new test and they received the sample a few weeks later and is batch 599. Both have been delayed without explanation multiple times. 595 was supposed to be finished by Feb 4; just checked and saw they have (of course) bumped it two more weeks. No action is needed on my part, LOL. Does it help to call? Where is truth in advertising? For anyone with the company who may be monitoring these threads, did I mention that I am a member of a large club and have been recommending this service?
